Link your bank account

A step-by-step guide to link your bank account to your Health Wallet.

To manage funds in and out of your benefit account you will need to link a bank account first. Here's how to connect one.

Getting started

  1. Select Profile

  2. Select Linked Account

  3. Select Add Bank Account

Prompted while submitting an expense?

If you don't have a bank account linked yet, you'll be prompted to link one on the spot instead. Click Link Account to get started.

You'll be redirected to Plaid to continue setting up your account.

Do I need to sign up with Plaid?

You're not required to sign up with Plaid. You can skip entering your phone number and continue.

Two ways to link your account

There are two ways to link your account. You can log in to your bank directly or connect your account manually.

Direct Bank Linking Route

Log in to your bank directly through Plaid.

  • Select your banking institution from the list

  • Enter your login information

  • Follow your bank's linking directions

Manual Bank Linking

Skip logging into your bank, and enter your account and routing numbers instead.

Within Plaid, scroll to the bottom of the list and select "Link with account numbers"

and enter your routing and account number. If you have more than one account (e.g., savings and checking), you may be prompted to select which one to grant access to.

Continued steps

  1. Authorize the required micro deposit to your chosen bank account, made through Plaid. You'll need to log in to your mobile banking app or check your bank statement to find the deposit amounts, note them down so you can verify the link request

  2. Once you have the amounts, go to Profile

  3. Select Linked Accounts

  4. Select Verify, then enter the micro deposit amounts

Timeline: It may take 24 hours for the micro deposits to appear in your bank account.

Is bank linking via Plaid secure?

Yes, the information you enter is handled securely by Plaid. If your bank supports direct login, that's the fastest option, your login information is encrypted and sent directly to your bank to verify your identity, we never see or receive it.
